The symposium involved three distinguished panels of leading artists, journalists and social thinkers, including Central New York community leaders and SU faculty, focused on the topics of racism and genocide.
Highlights included a satellite address by CNN chief international correspondent Christiane Amanpour, a reading by renowned poet Martín Espada and a presentation by author Samantha Power, author of the 2003 Pulitzer Prize-winning book "A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide."
