Chancellor Cantor to discuss inaugural year, future of Syracuse University in April 11 address
Chancellor Nancy Cantor will deliver a major address to the Syracuse University community Monday, April 11, at 4 p.m. in Hendricks Chapel.
Titled "Scholarship in Action: Building the Creative Campus," the Chancellor's speech is a culminating event of her inaugural year and the yearlong exploration of the soul of Syracuse. She will reflect upon the exploration and the many forms it has taken, including 139 inaugural year events (including lectures, focus groups, symposia and cultural events), several Web-based activities, and countless formal and informal discussions.
The Chancellor will also offer her vision for the future-a vision created with input from the University community and building on the institution's strengths. At its core: strategic investments in people, programs and facilities; additional support and opportunities for promising students with financial needs; and engagements with the world-locally, nationally and internationally.
SU students, faculty and staff, and members of the public are invited to attend the address. Public parking is available in the Irving Garage on Irving Avenue.
